Getting Back In
Hey guys, I used to be really active in GWG and on Guild Wars, but school has just gotten in the way the past year or so and I've fallen out of it.
Anyway, I redownloaded the client today for the first time in nearly a year, I think, and put in my username and password. I've never had a problem logging in before, but now when I went to go log in, I was locked out and given "Err=045: Your account has been blocked due to an account issue." Like I said, I've never had an "account block" before, and I've never received an e-mail from NCSoft or Anet saying I ever violated any rules or cancelled my account or anything. Is this just because of the long string of inactivity my account saw? Or did someone try to hack it? What would be the fastest way to get back into Guild Wars? I e-mailed NCSoft support this morning, but I have a feeling they won't get back to me at least for a couple days, and I know the community here is probably more knowledgeable than most of the people there. Is there anything for me to do besides wait for NCSoft to fix this issue? Thanks for any help. |

It's just a waiting game, I'm afraid! |

Did you put a character name into the "Security Question" spot? (Although I don't think that would be responsible for that error code.)

I guess I'll just play the waiting game, and hopefully I'll get some sort of e-mail response in the future. Seeing as I waited until Saturday morning to put it in, I probably won't get anything back till at least Monday or Tuesday... |

Somehow your account has been banned. If your sure you didn't do anything propably cause your account has been hacked. There have been issue with "certain" fora being hacked, and people who used the same emailadress, password and charactername on those fora as well as in game were being hacked.
Basicly you have to wait for support to hear what their reasons for the ban where. If you did something wrong in their opinion you can protest your wrong. If you where hacked it is enough to prove your the original owner of the account to get it back. But if they hacked you prepare for stripped chest and stripped chars when you make it in. Really sorry you have to wait. But reckonned it is better to give you all the scenario's, no matter how bad they can be. Goodluck |

You might be able to get more immediate action by posting to Twitter. I'll emphasize the word "might" in that sentence.
Address your tweet to @NCsoft_support They've actually been pretty good about responding to tweets from users even on weekends, though I do think the Twitter feed is manned sort of inconsistently - some weekends they seem to be responding in minutes, other weekends there's nothing at all. It's at least worth a shot. |

No worries, I came back after a year or so a couple of months ago and I had the same issue. I gave them all my information but they let me back on my account once I proved that I actually owned it by giving them the name / email address of the "master account". I wouldn't worry too much about it, it took me about two days and four emails and I was back to playing again. Good luck.
